Catherine Valadez

Hello! I am PhD student in the Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology (BCMB) program. I received my BS in Biochemistry at UT Austin and MS in Bioscience and Health Policy at Rice University. Before staring at Hopkins, I also worked as a research assistant at UT Southwestern in Dr. Glen Liszczak’s lab where I helped to uncover the mechanism by which a germline ETV6 mutation disrupts hematopoiesis and developed tools to study the biological effects of site-specific ADP-ribosylation. I am excited to be in the Kavran Lab!
